平遥国际DV展在中国平遥国际摄影展中已成功举办了三届，无论是在作品的数量、质量上还是在学术交流上都日趋成熟，2007年又开始引进商业赞助，进行了评奖——平遥国际DV展逐渐成为业界一项值得期待的重要活动。
2008年，平遥国际DV展将继续举办。今年的选片方式有所改变，将从社会征集改为专家推荐，以进一步提高本届DV展览的水平。
